She grew up in Houston and moved later with her family to Los Angeles. Her father had an military career who was awarded with the Purple Heart and her mother is opera singer. She is the great grandniece of the legendary actor Lon Chaney also known as the "Man with a Thousand Faces". She has an relation to director John Herzfeld and the couple betroth in june, 2008.


She is trained in taekwondo since young age and has an second degree black belt in taekwondo. 

She starts with her model career when she was thirteen years old. She made her directorial debut in the critically-acclaimed short movie ''Waste Land'' (2007) and this was also her writing debut. Academy Award nominee Ryan O'Neal starred in the movie and ''Waste Land'' garnered several awards. She made her feature film directorial debut with her original screenplay ''Slumber Party Slaughter'' (2012). She's one of the few female directors who works in the horror genre. She is the producer of the drama movie ''Out of Sight'' (2014) with actresses Lauren Cohan and Kyra Sedgwick.

Action Movie Career

She made her action movie debut as Wanda in one episode of the action TV series ''L.A. Heat'' (1999).

She plays alongside Don 'The Dragon' Wilson, Lorenzo Lamas, Cynthia Rothrock, Aki Aleong and Christine Rodriguez in the action movie ''Sci-Fighter'' (2004). A well-meaning genius creates a virtual reality game who holds Jack Tanaka (Don 'The Dragon' Wilson) his grandson captured in the game when a virus invades. Jack goes into the virtual fighting game in order to combat the virus and to save his son before they are both trapped forever.

She plays an supporting role as Ashley in the action movie ''The Death and Life of Bobby Z'' (2007). An DEA agent provides former Marine Tim Kearney (played by Paul Walker) a way out  from prison, if he completes an assignment. He must replace the recently deceased drug dealer Bobby Z (played by Jason Lewis). He screws up the assignment when he impersonates Bobby Z, in a conversation with crime lord Tad Gruzsa (played by Laurence Fishburne). Tim gets problems with Tad and flees with Bobby Z's son, while they are hunted by criminals.
